Gray Matter isn't Gray...

So last week I had an episode of "my head is going to explode" and I ended up at the Dr. and then in the ER with blood pressure issues which pretty much sucked. Anyway, I got to wondering what it would look like if my head really did explode, and I had a vision!

Gray matter can't really be gray. I think it must look like lemon jello that has been thrown against the wall only it isn't sticky - maybe more snot-like in consistency. You know when you get those pre-approved credit card offers with the pretend credit card attached to the application? If you peel it off there's a dab of this goobery stuff that kind of looks like a big booger, but it's clear, right? Well, gray matter is kind of like that, but more yellow with air bubbles in it and less like mucus. Oh wait, like flubber, but light yellow. Can you imagine it?

Just wanted to share my revelation. Maybe I was just going toward the light.

No, I'm not on drugs either. I lied, yes I am...

Forever and ever, Amen...

Today I went shopping. Anyone who knows me at all knows that I'm a "get in, get it, pay, get-the-hell-out" kind of shopper. I went into the store and quickly found what I was looking for. Went to the checkout where a lovely older man was working. He scanned my items and I grabbed my handy-dandy little card out of my purse, swiped it through the machine and went through all the crap that follows -- debit or credit -- pin number -- do you want money back -- waiting to approve -- when suddenly it pops up with the words "card denied". I was mortified. I asked if I could try again because I probably put in the wrong pin number and it happened AGAIN! What the heck??? So I got out my cell phone to check on my little cheat "contact" pin # checker because Biker Dude and I have such similar pin numbers on our debit cards and I always get all dyslexic with them. Then I realized that I was using a credit card instead of my debit card. What a major spaz! I was so embarrassed. Anyway, this cute old gent said, "No problem. You were in the right church, but just sitting in the wrong pew!" How cute was that? The lady that was so impatiently waiting behind me to get through the line I was holding up suddenly got a big smile on her face and we all had a great chuckle. I love sweet older gentlemen with a sense of humor!

Fried Brain with a side of Ranch!

Have you ever had one of those days where you couldn't think about anything for one more second - even if someone paid you to do it? We'll I've had two of those of days in a row. Today I'm going to just do my work and not think at all. Hummmmmm.... that might just be the most creative thing I've ever done! Why didn't I think of that before. Oh, that would have involved using my brain again. Nevermind.
